| dc.description | Samples were collected from 149 patients with tuberculosis at two time points: treatment initiation (T1, < 30 days) and ≥ 150 days of anti-TB therapy (T2). Saliva and oral-rinse samples were analyzed for fungal burden, Candida spp. prevalence, and salivary cytokines. These measures were correlated with seven systemic parameters: radiographic extent of pulmonary lesions, sputum smear microscopy results, Bandim TBscore, extrapulmonary involvement, serologic laboratory tests, presence of multidrug-resistant TB, and comorbidities. |
